This is Jang Chae Won, CEO of Smart Korea Co., Ltd.

Established in August 2013, we started our business by localizing experimental consumables and equipment,
which are the most basic necessities for all research.

Since then, we established a company-affiliated research institute to continue R&D and investment,
feeling the need for developing our own expertise and technology We develop “equipment for improving safe environment”
by expanding our existing business area and put every effort for the safety of our workers in the research institute and factories using chemicals.

Most of the wood-based and coconut-based activated carbons used in equipment for improving a safe environment are imported
from China whereas the entire pitch-based activated carbons are from the United States and Japan.
In order to stabilize the domestic market with product of good quality and price,
we have secured the technology of “producing and localizing Korean pitch-based activated carbon”
through continued cooperation and technology transfer with “Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology”,
and intend to leap forward as a company specializing in “equipment for improving a safe environment”.

Based on this, Smart Korea will make efforts to compete with world-class companies with confidence.
